Overview

Fire stopping and penetration sealing is the process of preserving and maintaining the fire resisting performance of walls, floors, and roofs where voids exist, or where fire stopping solutions have been installed.

Buildings and structures are separated into manageable areas of risk (fire compartments) by using passive fire stopping solutions which have proven fire protection properties. These fire stopping solutions are designed to control the growth and spread of fire and smoke, enabling the occupants to safely evacuate the building or structure.
